SWAN SPACE ㅣ 백조우주
<SWAN SPACE> is born from the creative synergy of artists from different corners of the world, bridging New York and Seoul. This project is a collaboration among choreographer and performer Chaery Moon, composer Haeyun Kim, visual artist Younwon Sohn, video artist Chang-goo Kim, and media artists Hayeon Hwang and Seyoung Kim. Together, they meld the realms of dance, music, visual, and media art into a unified artistic expression.
The journey of <SWAN SPACE> began with a pilot performance in Korea in 2023 and had its US premiere at Chez Bushwick in May 2024. <SWAN SPACE> is returning to Seoul in December 2024 with live performances and exhibitions that allow the audience to experience multiple sensory dimensions while navigating their own story.
It seeks to capture the fleeting, profound moments that punctuate our lives, translating them into a language of movement, sound, and visual wonder. This project is an invitation to pause, reflect, and connect with the nuances of our experiences and emotions, offering audiences a rich, immersive journey through the essence of the human spirit.
With support from the Korean government and the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture, <SWAN SPACE> celebrates the power of art to transcend boundaries and foster a deeper understanding of our shared humanity.

Established in 2017 in New York City, Chaery Moon Dance (CMD) embodies a steadfast dedication to pioneering innovative performance concepts. With a keen focus on collaborative ventures, CMD engages with artists across a spectrum of genres. This approach is driven by a desire to broaden the appeal of dance and performing arts, reaching out to new and traditionally underserved audiences with each project.
CMD's repertoire spans a diverse array of mediums—from the traditional stage to film and immersive environments. At the heart of our creative endeavor is a celebration of humanism, an exploration that seeks to weave together various artistic disciplines through the eloquence of physical movement. This journey is not just about creating dance; it's about fostering an intimate dialogue between different art forms, pushing boundaries to discover new horizons within the performing arts.
